Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling different types of floors. Find models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging docks to self-empty and clean the stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or carpet.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.

Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung up on the tiny rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with two spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station if they are required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is simple to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble it can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can go from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a thick margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last piece of dust. It is important to clean frequently, every week. This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to do exactly that. It is easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it does not have mopping capabilities and has a plastic body.
Even though it's not able to clean your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out, with a 2700Pa power to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which reduces the cost. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark off areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
